Description
USS Oriskany is a 27,100 ton Ticonderoga class aircraft carrier. Construction was started during World War Two but construction was suspended in 1947. She was completed and commissioned in 1950. The Oriskany served in the Korean and Vietnam wars. This photo was taken not long before, she was deliberately sunk off Pensacola, Florida, on 17 May 2006, to serve as an artificial reef and sport diving attraction.

Thanks for your comment. Actually the image is 3 shots stitched together. When I got far enough back to get the whole ship in, it looked too small.
